Growing up, I watched my dad come home and drink after a hard day's work, says Wickstrom. "I reached for a drink and felt better and ultimately found solace in alcohol. He began to dabble in marijuana as well and was eventually kicked out of his house at age 15. Living with people much older than himself, Wickstrom was introduced to cocaine, creating a futher downward spiral into addiction.
After years of drug abuse and multiple rehabs, 15 years ago Per Wickstrom finally he graduated from rehab and decided he wanted to help others enjoy the same life-affirming success. His dedication and perseverance in opening a rehabilitation facility has resulted in lasting recovery forthousands of clients. One goal Mr. Wickstrom believed in was to provide a natural approach to treatment that would serve as a solid foundation for clients to build on after leaving his treatment programs. To accomplish this goal, he developed programs to include protocols for addressing emotional, behavioral, spiritual and physical aspects of addiction. In this way, the client benefits not only from overcoming the physical dependence, he or she also develops strong coping techniques, strategies for avoiding temptation, and new ways of approaching life in general. "We don't tell you what you have to do to achieve peace and sobriety," says Wickstrom..."we show you, so that you have the power to make changes for yourself."
