For more than a decade, Dr. Bob Baxley has been a technology leader in implementing machine learning algorithms for software defined and cognitive radios. At Bastille, Bob serves as Chief Technology Officer where he leads the development of systems to sift through massive amounts of radio frequency data to protect enterprises from radio threats.
Prior to joining Bastille, Bob was the Director of the Software Defined Radio Lab at Georgia Tech, where he led basic and applied research projects for organizations including NSF, ONR, Army, DoD, Air Force and DARPA. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and patents, is the receipt of various research awards, and is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He also led the GTRI team that competed in the DARPA Spectrum Challenge and placed second out of 90 teams.

Paul Rouse, Administrative Officer/Sales & Operations Director for Guardian Safety Solutions International, Inc. (GSSI), Dallas, is a 34-year veteran of the fire industry. Guardian Safety Solutions International, Inc. is the recognized leader in the development and manufacturing of residential range top fire protection systems. GSSI’s mission is to develop and distribute quality safety products that provide customers with peace of mind, while protecting lives and property. GSSI manufactures the Guardian III Model G300B, UL and ULC listed with a fuel shut-off.
Rouse’s experience encompasses fire products, services and technologies, and he was instrumental in designing what later would become the flagship GSSI product, the Guardian III, for which three patents are held.
Mr. Rouse’s early interest in the fire industry led him to a position as a fire technician in a fire protection company. As he immersed himself in numerous training and educational opportunities, he joined GSSI in 1989 after becoming aware of the promise of residential fire suppression systems’ potential to save many lives. It was then that he, along with several others, was involved in making modifications to the original Guardian system to design what would later become the Guardian III.
In his current position, Mr. Rouse ensures that all national and international sales, marketing and product branding objectives are achieved through profitable operational procedures. He oversees the company’s finances setting policy and pricing, code enforcement issues and is a liaison with regulatory bodies. He conducts national training programs for GSSI distributors and ongoing educational seminars about state and local regulatory compliance with fire officials.
Mr. Rouse has an extensive background in working with engineers at Underwriters Laboratory (UL) regarding listing and testing requirements for residential range top fire protection. He is a technical consultant for the company on patent issues and research and development.
A resident of Dallas, Mr. Rouse is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors.
