Restoring Your Strength With Chil Wellness
Wednesday Apr 08, 2020

Kevin DeMeritt, Founder of Chil Wellness, a new generation wellness company with the goal to help others joins eHealth Radio and the Health News Channel.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Kevin DeMeritt discuss the following:
Why did you create Chil Wellness?
Tell us more about the product you named after your daughter – Aspen’s Deep Relief Salve.
How do you know if CBD is working for you?
Stress and anxiety are a big problem in today’s society. Can CBD help?
What do you want people to know about Chil Wellness?
In 1997, Kevin DeMeritt founded Lear Capital, a precious metals company. In 2008 he also co-founded Wilshire Finance Partners, a real estate investment fund, and currently serves as its president.
Mr. DeMeritt holds his Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in business and economics from the University of Montana. He is nationally recognized as an expert on the markets, the economy and geo-political events. As an expert DeMeritt has been a guest commentator on more than 1000 radio and television talk shows.
In 2008, Kevin’s 18 month old daughter, Aspen, was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was immediately put on two different medications for the Arthritis and inflammation. One of the medications, methotrexate, is a cancer drug. It is so potent that doctors told his pregnant wife, not to come in contact with the medication because it could affect the health of the baby she carried.
When Kevin heard what this drug could do to his wife and unborn child, he started to research what this drug was doing to his 18-month-old daughter. Seeing the risks, he knew he needed to investigate alternative approaches. Knowing he could not take Aspen off her medication before he found such an alternative, his search began in earnest.
Like a lot of parents, he reached out to Google for help and found oodles of information. He discovered a variety of natural ingredients that showed promise. Arnica, Boswellia and St. John’s Wart were among those products. When rubbed on Aspen’s joints in the right amounts, some relief was achieved. He then heard about CBD and its potential to fight inflation. So why not blend CBD with the other natural ingredients that showed promise and see what happens. The result? Aspen was elated.
The more research he did, the more convinced he became that CBD could be something special. In 2016 a team of lab researchers from the University of Kentucky published the results of their study of CBD for relieving arthritis symptoms in mice in the European Journal of Pain. They concluded that when they induced arthritis into the knee joints of mice and applied a transdermal CBD gel, it reduced the joint swelling. The result was music to his ears.
He began sharing his formulations with others who started to use it for their own aches and pains. Again the results were positive and the requests for more product began to roll in.
Kevin is not a medical professional, just a parent on a mission to help his daughter. He wanted Aspen to have a normal childhood and to run and play with the other kids. The goal was for her to grow up strong and healthy and be able to do whatever she loved in life. The CBD formulas and products he has developed are the radiant outcome of love. He continually seeks out the best ingredients, scientists and technology to get the best results.
His pledge is to be transparent with the ingredients and testing with a:
Commitment to use high-quality natural ingredients
Purchase ingredients from socially responsible sources
Back all products with a 30-Day 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
Today, his daughter is 14 years old and an accomplished athlete with an active and enjoyable lifestyle. He created Chil Wellness as a new-generation wellness company with the goal to help others.

Claire Dunkley who is on a mission to educate as many healthcare professionals in ANF Therapy so that more people can become pain-free and live full and happy lives joins eHealth Radio and the Health News and Pain Management Channels.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Claire Dunkley discuss the following:
The current healthcare system appears to focus health solutions on treating symptoms through either prescription pain-killers or through surgery. One of your foundation principles is working on the source of an issue. Can you explain how this works?
Albert Einstein said that everything is energy, and that matching the frequency of the energy of what we wanted would see it materialise – it’s the basis of physics. Can you tell me how this works in regards to the human body?
So based off that everything is energy in the body, how does that impact the nine levels of health dysfunction you described?
So, the world-renowned Dr Mikel HG Hoff, PhD who specialises in the nervous system and the body’s biochemistry reactions invented and developed the ANF discs. What exactly is ANF Therapy and how does it work?
Claire, you are the first fully qualified ANF practitioner in Australia and have improved the lives of 500+ clients in the first 18 months of your clinic opening. How did you originally hear about it and what made you decide to go all the way in the education path?
With over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, Claire has seen the best and worse of it (she believes the healthcare system itself is sick). Healthcare today is focused on symptom management with a ‘cut and drug’ approach (ie - surgeons cut the pain out, BIG Pharma masks any pain that remains). Claire strongly believes this focus needs to shift to treating the true cause of the problem and empower people to do the best for their body and health.
Claire nursed both her parents through their battle with HIV / Aids in the late 1980’s and 90’s. Seeing first-hand the damage pharmaceuticals can have on the body when symptoms are treated over causes.
She watched her parents endure years of side effects from the drugs that were supposed to be helping them, only to have them withdraw from ALL treatments to ensure her parents had some quality of life before their deaths.
Claire then went on to be a Clinical leader in the Victorian healthcare system and furthered her studies in radiology, gastroenterology, liver transplantation, orthopaedics, nurse and bed management with a strong focus on patient advocacy.
As the years went by, she witnessed more and more the adverse effects that a ‘cut and drug’ approach was having on the patients in her care. Her focus then became on finding a better solution.
In 2017, she found that solution – ANF (Amino Neuro Frequency) Therapy medical devices and dedicated the next two years to become Oceania’s first fully qualified ANF Practitioner. She established a holistic clinic to treat Clients with this specialty technology as well as an academy to train other healthcare Practitioners the advanced skills to apply ANF therapy to their patients.

BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. (Nasdaq: BDSI) (“BDSI”) launch This Is Pain, a long-term initiative that aims to improve the lives of over 10 million[1] American adults living with chronic pain.
Chronic pain is one of the most common reasons[2] that Americans visit a healthcare professional and yet this disease is widely misunderstood and can be incredibly isolating, debilitating and frustrating for those living with it. This is in large part, due to the fact that each person’s pain is highly individualized and not visible to that person’s peers, colleagues and wider society.
This Is Pain seeks to first confront the stigma around the disease state, creating widespread awareness and empathy, in order to ultimately combat the systemic challenges those living with chronic pain face. These challenges include experiencing unfair treatment in the workplace and difficulty in accessing affordable treatment options. The long-term goals of the campaign include achieving the following:
Wider societal recognition of chronic pain as a disease state, not a symptom
Policy change to increase access to safe and effective treatment options for chronic pain individuals living with chronic pain
Increased research funding to improve existing treatments and develop innovative therapies for individuals living with chronic pain
Fairer treatment and representation in the workplace.
“People living with chronic pain face unimaginable hurdles and struggles in their daily lives and I believe that we can alleviate some of the challenges they face by first drawing attention to what it is really like to live with pain.” stated Herm Cukier, CEO of BDSI. “We know that change is borne out of a communal desire to act and that is exactly what we need to achieve to impact the lives of those living with chronic pain.”
Event: This Is Pain: An Exhibition by Trina Merry Art Exhibit Date: Thursday, December 12th - Sunday, December 15th Time: 8:00AM - 8:00PM Location: The Oculus Outdoor Plaza - New York CitySocial: #ThisIsPain @ThisIsPain Website: www.thisispain.com
BDSI has partnered with visual artist Trina Merry and the American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA) to bring to life the stories of eight individuals who are living with chronic pain. The one-of-a kind artwork will be displayed in an exhibition at Oculus Plaza in New York City starting December 12th through December 15th.
Penney Cowan of the ACPA says of the exhibition, “If we can encourage people to take a moment out of their day to learn about the disease and really see how this disease impacts those living with chronic pain , we believe we can start to generate the support we need to effect real change.”
BDSI will continue to pursue its endeavor until significant improvements are made at a systemic level.

Heather Hughes, Founder of BioFit 360
Friday Dec 06, 2019
Friday Dec 06, 2019
Heather Hughes, Founder of BioFit 360, who has been working in the healthcare industry for over 20 years joins eHealth Radio and the Health News Channel.
After hundreds of hours of research, product testing and consultation, Heather and her team brought BioFit 360 to market, sourcing the products from the most trusted manufacturers with the highest ratings.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Heather Hughes discuss the following:
Why did you create BioFit 360?
What are issues that you see with dosage transparency in your industry?
I understand you have an Ambassadog? What does Frankie do for BioFit 360?
Tell me more about the environmental benefits of industrial hemp farming?
Where can our listeners learn more about BioFit 360?
Heather Hughes has been working in healthcare for 20 years, and her husband’s family has been involved in farming and agriculture for generations. This uniquely qualifies her to lead a company that produces the highest quality and most effective CBD products, understanding and overseeing every step of creation, from plant to person.
Heather grew up in Jamestown, North Dakota. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and an MBA from North Dakota State University in Fargo. She then moved to Southern California where she began working in healthcare management, and where she and her husband purchased a grapefruit orchard.
While in North Dakota, Heather worked for a research organization which did pharmaceutical testing of generic drugs and for which she wrote the final FDA reports. In Southern California, Heather has worked for over a decade as the Director of Care Coordination for a major health care management company. Working with wonderful nurses and teams of dedicated healthcare professionals, she became aware of the harsh realities of opioid and other prescription drug abuse.
A few years ago she realized the benefits of using industrial hemp-derived CBD in treating an extraordinary number of ailments. Meanwhile, the Asian Citrus Psyllid was slowly spreading in California and carrying a deadly tree virus that had infected about 90 percent of the citrus crop in Florida. So she applied to the California Department of Food and Agriculture and became registered to cultivate industrial hemp. Simultaneously, Heather was sought-out by a group of health care professionals who asked her to join them in creating a CBD company. Their common goal was to help patients manage chronic conditions like pain and anxiety in a more natural, plant-based way.
After hundreds of hours of research, product testing and consultation, Heather and her team brought BioFit 360 to market, sourcing the products from the most trusted manufacturers with the highest ratings. Soon an esteemed crop of experts will be collaborating on manufacturing BioFit 360 products using industrial hemp organically grown in the Hughes Citrus orchard.
In addition to working with BioFit 360, Heather is the busy mother of three, is active in animal rescue, and in her rare moments of leisure, she enjoys early mornings with a good book and a cup of Irish Breakfast tea.

Chris Tutt, a physical therapists and Co-CEO of ProActive Physical Therapy Specialists serving Oregon and Washington with 14 clinics specializing in musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain and rehabilitation of athletic injures joins eHealth Radio and the Health News and Physical Therapy Channels.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Chris Tutt discuss the following:
What’s the difference between Physical Therapy and other practices like chiropractic care?
This is a very versatile field – you treat people recovering from surgeries, athletes, people get back to work, MS patients and even sometimes to lose enough weight to have a life-saving surgery. How does a patient choose a physical therapist?
“PT over Pills” is a new initiative the your practice is advocating – what does that mean?
PT as prevention – do you’re saying people don’t need to be in pain to see at PT?
Your clinics are trialing a new virtual reality program to combat chronic pain – tell me more about that.
TIP: Chris will recommend the best practice stretch for back pain Lower back pain effects millions of Americans each year. I enjoy this exercise because the highest number of people can be helped by it. Think about the last time when you hurt your back. You probably moved around all stiff, kept your back straight, and it felt better. Using these same techniques in preventive manner you can protect your back when engaging in strenuous activities as well as when your back is hurting. Imagine that someone is going to slug you in the stomach. Now, I don't get into fights but this really works! If someone is going to slug you in the stomach what are you going to do? You're going to tighten up your stomach. By tightening you stomach, with tightens your oblique muscles on the sides of your trunk, which in turn tightens an area of thick tissue in your back called your thoracolumbar fascia. This helps to create a natural back brace enabling you to use your muscles to provide support for your back giving you more core strength for dynamic activities as well as to stabilize your back after an injury.
Chris Tutt, PT, MBA, is a physical therapist and co-CEO of ProActive Physical Therapy Specialists.
Chris completed his undergraduate degree at Oregon State University and his Master of Physical Therapy degree from at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles/Chapman University and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Troy University in Troy, Alabama.
His areas of specialization include TMJ/TMD dysfunction, work conditioning, physical/functional capacity evaluations, and industrial rehabilitation. He is often referred to as "The Body Mechanic" for his love of helping people recover from their injures. Outside of the clinic he enjoys cycling, weight lifting, flying, hiking, camping, taking his 6 ft telescope into the countryside to explore galaxies and planets, and spending time with his wife and teenage daughters.
