Saturday May 25, 2019
Saturday May 25, 2019
Cancer continues to be the second-leading cause of death in the US. More than 15.5 million Americans — nearly one in 20. The American Cancer Society projected in January, as it released its annual "cancer facts and figures" report, that the disease is now on pace to become the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S. by 2020.
Registered dietitian and author Dina Khader, Founder of the Dina Khader Nutrition, founded in 2009 joins eHealth Radio and the Cancer Prevention and Health News to discuss how small changes can lead us away from cancer.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels and guest Dina Khader discuss the following:
Share with us the importance of eating local, organically, as often as possible.
Why does exercise matter?
How important is green tea? How much should we be drinking?
Why is grilling bad for you?
Why do you think, Electro-Magnetic Radiation, is detrimental to our DNA?
Can you really sleep away cancer? Why is sleep important?
Dina Khader is a registered dietitian and integrative nutrition consultant with a Master of Science degree in nutrition from New York Medical College. She is also a Master Fellow and featured presenter with the Institute for Human Individuality. With a nationally-acclaimed private nutrition practice with close to 30 years of experience, Dina has studied with some of the leading-edge functional medicine doctors around the world.

Dr. Stacy Mitchell Doyle, Founder of FoodTherapyMD, that takes the concept of food as medicine to the next level joins eHealth Radio and the Health News & Nutrition Channels.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Dr. Stacy Mitchell Doyle discuss the following:
Can you tell me a little bit about your business, FoodTherapyMD?

Tell me about your "food prescriptions?"
What are some steps that people can take to increase their intake of phytonutrients?
FoodTherapyMD is the brainchild of Dr. Stacy Mitchell Doyle, MD – or Dr. Stacy as she is known to her patients. After completing medical training and residency at UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Stacy obtained her board certification in Internal Medicine and set up private practice in Los Angeles. But after nearly two decades, Dr. Stacy realized that she was participating in a failing medical system, and she began to treat her patients using plant-based nutritional protocols. FoodTherapyMD takes the concept of food as medicine to the next level. Not only do they promote whole, plant-based diets for disease management and longevity, they recognize that phytonutrients, the things that make plant food so amazing, can be tailored to fight specific disease states.

Dr. David Samadi was born in Iran in 1964. He was forced to leave the Jewish community he was raised in because the country became embroiled in the Iranian Revolution in 1979. At the age of 15, Dr. Samadi made his way to Belgium and then London with his younger brother. When he was able to finally make it to the United States, he entered high school in Roslyn, New York. After he graduated from high school, Dr. Samadi attended Stony Brook University where he studied for a degree in biochemistry on a full scholarship. He attended Stony Brook School of Medicine and received his M.D. degree in 1994. While he was at Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Samadi received training in urology. He obtained his training in proctology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. In 2001, Dr. Samadi finished his oncology fellowship in the area of proctology while he was at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 2002, he traveled to France to study at Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil where he undertook a radical prostatectomy fellowship. During this time, he studied under Professor Claude Abbou. Dr. Samadi invented his own robotic technique for performing prostatic surgery, and he called it “Samadi Modified Advanced Robotic Treatment” or SMART. Ordinarily, this type of cancer is known to be extremely deadly, but when Dr. Samadi used his SMART technique to treat his patients, nearly 90 percent of them could be declared to be free of cancer. NeuEve: Natural Remedy for Vaginal Atrophy and BV
Tuesday Oct 10, 2017
Tuesday Oct 10, 2017
Dr. Renjie Chang, Founder of NeuEve, a source for vaginal suppositories and cream promoting natural sexual wellness joins eHealth Radio and the Female Health & Sexual Health Channels.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Dr. Renjie Chang discuss the following:
What are the major gaps in women's healthcare today, and is that what inspired you to create NeuEve?
What is NeuEve and how does it work?
For vaginal atrophy, how does NeuEve compare to estrogen?
For bacterial vaginosis, how does NeuEve compare to boric acid, douching, or antibiotics?
I heard that breast cancer survivors and hysterectomy patients love NeuEve. Why is that?
Summary: NeuEve provides a non-hormonal remedy for vaginal atrophy and dryness, better than regular vaginal moisturizers and lubes. After menopause, sex can become difficult due to vaginal atrophy. Estrogen supplements help, but estrogen greatly increases cancer risk. NeuEve also clears bacterial vaginosis (BV) effectively and naturally. Current BV treatments often lead to recurrent BV, but NeuEve, in taking an alternative and more holistic, caring approach, breaks the cycle.
Renjie Chang, M.D., M.S. graduated from Peking Union Medical University, the most prestigious medical school in China. Seeing patients in clinic firsthand, she always practiced medicine with a focus on both hard science and a soft bedside manner. In the US, she worked as a faculty member of OB-GYN at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and as a drug developer at the Abbott Laboratories in Chicago. At Abbott, she learned the vital skills of inventing and creating medicine. It’s a very different skill set than simply prescribing medicine. After she left Abbott, she won grants from NIH and Gates Foundation for developing a new way to prevent the sexual transmission of HIV. It was while performing this research that she was inspired to create NeuEve. For Dr. Chang, NeuEve has been the culmination of a lifetime of learning and experience.
