Before she was named President & CEO, Dr. Basow served as Vice President & General Manager, Clinical Decision Support. Under her guidance, UpToDate grew to become a global leader in clinical decision support, with a customer base of more than 1.1 million users around the world. As a primary care physician who joined UpToDate in 1996, Dr. Basow has also held the positions of Deputy Editor, Executive Editor and Editor-in-Chief.
Dr. Basow is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She received a BA in Chemistry from Duke University, attended Baylor College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins.
