As the Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes in Asia Pacific South, Samson Khaou is responsible for the overall performance of the company in the region. This includes increasing local and regional market share, profitability, and operational efficiency. Khaou took on the role in 2011.
Khaou has over 25 years’ experience, joining Dassault Systèmes in 1989 where he was in charge of developing new technologies for CATIA Analysis products. During the first six years of his career in the R&D division, he conducted key development projects in Geometric Modeler. Khaou has gone on to hold numerous leadership positions within the company.
Prior to his current position, Khaou was the Managing Director of Dassault Systèmes, Industry Services in Europe for three years where he oversaw the major Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) V6 projects across Europe. During 2006 and 2007, Khaou was the General Manager of Dassault Systèmes Korea, establishing both the direct and indirect sales channels in Korea.
As a Technical Manager of Dassault Systemes’ Korea Branch office from 1999 to 2001, Khaou’s focus was to develop the service offerings for key automotive companies in Korea and China. Between 1995 and 1999, Khaou was assigned as a CATIA consultant in Korea (1995 to 1998) and then in China (1999), with the mission to support IBM’s business development in the Automotive and Shipbuilding industries.
Within Dassault Systèmes, Khaou led key PLM V5 implementation projects in Europe and in Japan, holding the positions of Senior Manager for PLM Solution for the Automotive Industry and Senior Manager for the High Technology Industry.
Khaou holds Master Degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering.
