SleepVibe, a compact sleep aid that enhances deep sleep

Saturday Jan 25, 2025
James Marsh, CEO of The SleepVibe, a compact sleep aid that enhances deep sleep without needing headphones or audible sound joins eHealth Radio and the Health News, Sleep Health and Technology Channels.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest James Marsh discuss the following:
I understand you are an engineer who was caring for a family member facing sleep disruptions. What are the harms and dangers of sleep issues?
You came up with two technologies to create SleepVibe. Can you describe how does the technology work? What can people expect once they turn it on?
Who would benefit from this technology aside from those with disruption or lack of sleep?
How does a patient using SleepVibe know if the aid works? What have users told you how they have benefited from your invention so far?
Where can folks facing this issue get more information?
In 2020, a devoted husband invented SleepVibe to help his wife who was suffering from a debilitating neurological disorder, and only getting 1–3 hours of sleep per night. The lack of sleep, on top of the challenging disorder, made her days even harder. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, it was extremely difficult and essentially impossible to get needed caregivers, he was up 1-3 hours a night for months on end. In desperation, by combining variations of existing tech, Founder Jim Marsh created the SleepVibe.
By using Binaural Beats Technology and a low-voltage, low-frequency field, similar to Earth’s natural frequencies, he was able to help her sleep more deeply. In addition, it helped him get better sleep in the time he had available. Through his own experience, James experienced the negative impact a lack of adequate sleep can have on patients, caregivers, and in general. Through discussions with many people suffering from lack of sleep, SleepVibe Inc. was created with the mission of helping people get better, deeper, more restorative sleep so they can enjoy and live a fulfilling life.

Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels guest Beth Houck discuss the following:
What role do digital, specialty value-based care (VBC) companies play in healthcare and how do they serve patients, providers, and payers, alike?
Can you comment on how, generally, VBC improves patient outcomes and reduces barriers to care?
Can you describe SonarMD and why you elected to focus on IBD?
How does the SonarMD interface with patients and how do providers use the data being collected?
SonarMD has an extensive dataset with clinically validated outcomes as compared with a risk-adjusted control group. At the 2024 Digestive Diseases Week the company presented findings from two large studies. Can you provide an overview of those findings?
Summary: Chronic illnesses have a significant impact on the mental and emotional well-being of patients and, despite therapeutic advancements, only one-third of diagnosed and treated patients move into remission. That’s why a holistic approach that includes symptom monitoring combined with proactive lifestyle adjustments – like diet, exercise, sleep -- is increasingly recognized as vital to improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare utilization.
