Gail developed the company into one of the largest woman/minority-owned general contractors in the U.S. and one of the country’s leading experts in permanent modular construction.
Under Gail’s leadership and with her ability to build dynamic work teams and establish key strategies and work flow processes, Warrior Group was able to transform the industry as a whole. The company built the first one- and two-, then three- and four-story permanent modular buildings and helped expand the adoption of permanent modular construction for many applications, including school buildings, dormitories, administrative offices and medical clinics.
As the construction market continues to develop and change, Gail has refocused the Warrior Group as existing projects reach completion. In lieu of pursuing new contracts and large projects, she has initiated a division at the Warrior Group which will provide high level business consulting services, bringing unmatched expertise and insight to others.
With the new direction of the Warrior Group underway, Gail has fully dedicated herself to the development of Warrior Elements, which will focus on her lifelong passions of fitness and healthy living and helping others to cultivate the Warrior within.
Dedicated to giving back to the community, Gail founded Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation (HOAW) a 501 (c) (3) public non-profit, launched in early 2007. The HOAW mission is to generate, facilitate and execute programs that provide total enrichment opportunities that are educational, cultural, and experiential and life enhancing, through programs targeting underserved children in Dallas County. This is accomplished through the Young Warriors Summer Learning Program.
Committed to giving back to the business community, Gail created the Warrior Women’s Mentoring group in 2010. The group meets once a month to help empower women in business and mentor them in their careers.
A frequently sought after public speaker for business, women and community organizations on a regional and national level, Gail speaks on a variety of topics including Growing and Scaling your business, How to Determine if Debt Capital is Right for you, Work-Life Balance, and Cultivating the Warrior Within. In 2010 Warrior Group was inducted into INC magazine’s prestigious “INC 500” and ranked 32nd in the Black Enterprise list of Top 100 Industrial Service Companies. Since 2009, Warrior Group has ranked in the top 10 list of Largest Woman-Owned Businesses in North Texas published by the Dallas Business Journal.
As an entrepreneur, Gail has also received several additional honors including: the National Association of Real Estate Brokers - Acme Award, the Top Women Entrepreneurs in North America by Enterprising Women; the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)/Wells Fargo Trailblazer award; and the Dallas Historical Society honored her with their 2011 Award for Excellence.
