Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Sherman has been performing cosmetic eyelid surgery and aesthetic injectable treatments for over twenty years. She is recognized as a top plastic surgeon for eyes and is often invited to teach her innovative approaches to her colleagues at national and international meetings. She has also been invited overseas to teach advanced cosmetic techniques to surgeons throughout Russia, Spain, Italy, Canada, Australian, Korea, and China. Dr. Sherman received her specialty training by top surgeons associated with the Department of Ophthalmology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She further advanced her training in cosmetic surgery techniques during her oculoplastic fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Sherman has served as the Botox® national spokesperson for their “Lose Your 11” Campaign, during which she taught “beauty buzzmakers” in educational seminars in over thirty US cities. She has been a guest on multiple local and national television and radio shows and is often quoted in magazines including: People, Allure, Marie Claire, Redbook, Shape, and Self. Dr. Mary Gingrass is a leading Tennessee cosmetic surgeon who, together with fellow female plastic surgeon Dr. Melinda Haws, performs a variety of cosmetic surgery breast procedures, such as breast augmentation and body procedures, such as Tummy Tucks and Liposuction.
Dr. Mary Gingrass is a third-generation plastic surgeon, born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1989. Dr. Gingrass completed her residency in general and plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her training with a fellowship at Nashville Plastic Surgery, with an emphasis in cosmetic surgery and breast enhancement surgery. Dr. Gingrass is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and in 2007 was inducted into the prestigious American Association of Plastic Surgeons. Locally, she is a member of the Nashville Academy of Medicine. Dr. Gingrass also serves on the board of the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition and has been active in legislative efforts concerning women’s health issues.
Dr. Melinda Haws is a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Haws received her medical degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1991, where she met her future partner, Dr. Mary Gingrass. In her training, Dr. Haws completed a six-year combined general surgery/plastic surgery residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. From there she came to Nashville for a six-month breast and aesthetic fellowship with Nashville Plastic Surgery. After working as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Dr. Haws returned to Nashville in the spring of 2002 to join her best friend, Dr. Mary Gingrass, in practice and The Plastic Surgery Center of Nashville was born.
Dr. Melinda Haws has chosen to focus her practice on breast enhancement and body contouring, with special emphasis on women trying to “get their bodies back” after pregnancy or weight loss.

She serves on the AAD Future Leader Panel, Patient Advocacy Taskforce, and Chairs the Product and Service Workgroup, Social Media Workgroup, and is an editor for Derm World. Locally, she believes strongly in patient advocacy and outreach, organizing community awareness and skin cancer screening programs.
