Dr. Robert Bowen graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia, and fellowships in Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine at West Virginia University. He has been in private practice in Martinsburg since 1984. Currently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Co-Director of the Internal Medicine clerkship at WVU Medical School, Eastern Division; the Medical Director of the Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Berkeley Medical Center; and the Medical Director of his Cosmetic Medicine & Body Contouring private practice.
Dr. Bowen is one of the first physicians in the United States to be Fellowship-trained in Aesthetic Medicine. This fellowship, the Aesthetic Anti-Aging Fellowship of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), provides comprehensive, expert, and hands-on training in aesthetic medicine techniques. Dr. Ken Anderson is the Founder and Director of the Anderson Hair Sciences Center. He is a double-board certified facial plastic surgeon who has been practicing hair restoration surgery exclusively since 2003. He began in private practice in Beverly Hills, California in 2003.
In 2008, Dr. Anderson was recruited from California to join the Emory Facial Center, a satellite office of the main Emory Hospital dedicated to facial cosmetic surgery, to offer hair restoration to Emory Healthcare patients. John F. Zavell, MD, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon that has practiced in the Toledo and Northwest Ohio area since 1993. He has focused his practice on cosmetic surgery of the breast, body, and face.
Dr. Zavell has been an investigator for the Mentor and Allergan corporations in ongoing breast implant technology research since 2003. This includes research into the highly cohesive gel implant, known as the “gummy bear implant” (Allergan 410 ®, Mentor CPG ®). Dr. Zavell uses all types of implants in breast surgery including saline, silicone gel, and the “gummy bear” implants. David H. McDaniel, MD is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a Co-Director of the Hampton University Skin of Color Research Institute, Adjunct Professor in the School of Science, Hampton University, as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences for Old Dominion University.
