I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky; I came to MN when I was 11 years old. I attended Hopkins High School where I played football and a very small stent in Track and Field. I am a graduate from the University of Minnesota, with a BS in Kinesiology and also ACSM PT certified. While at the University of Minnesota, I played Division I Football as a defensive end for the Golden Gophers.
I developed my visions and strive for health and personal fitness in college through study and practice with experts in the fitness industry as well as being a regular attendee in the football training room from the injuries I sustain while playing. I interned with the Minnesota Vikings as a member of the operations team and assisted coaching staff and players with daily task.
Since being in the career of personal training I have trained a variety of clients and populations, from world class athletes to people just starting on their health and fitness journey. I was fortunate enough to be part of the MVCTP (Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader Training Program. This program was designed to ready potential MN Viking Cheerleaders for the rigorous try out process. We focused on workout plans, nutrition, as well as lifestyle management away from the gym. With 8 years of experience in the fitness industry, I have trained in studios, big health clubs, private setting and big 25 person group classes. I have been featured in Shape Magazine and published in various other fitness publications nationally.
Currently as the Director at Brass Personal Trainers I spend the majority of my time training, designing workouts, and working with my clients both inside and outside of the facility. I have also taken on a new hat as the organizations social media presence and as an avid online writer and opinion columnist. My passion and goal is to help as many people as I can on their quest for an overall healthier lifestyle through proper exercise and lifestyle management.
