As a highly-regarded plastic and reconstructive surgeon in the San Francisco Bay Area, Miguel A. Delgado, Jr., M.D. is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Plastic Surgery, the most exclusive and respected plastic surgery organization in the world.

Dr. Delgado graduated, with honors, from the University of California San Francisco in 1982 followed by his internship and residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  Johns Hopkins is recognized at the preeminent teaching hospital in the United States as it has trained more surgical chairmen than any other hospital.  Stony Brook University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY provided Dr. Delgado with his plastic surgery residency.  This extensive training provided Dr. Delgado with exceptional experience in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Upon completion of surgical training, Dr. Delgado opened is private practice in the San Francisco Bay area, specifically the beautiful town of Novato in Marin County.  In 1994, Dr. Delgado proudly opened his second office located in the heart of San Francisco, Union Square.  With the desire to create the best possible surgical experience for his patients, Dr. Delgado opened Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center, adjacent to his office in Novato.  This Surgery Center is a fully accredited, state-of-the-art facility with staff that supports Dr. Delgado’s extraordinary level of care.  Since 1988, Dr. Delgado has successfully completed thousands of surgeries with aesthetic plastic surgery as his primary focus. Procedures routinely performed by Dr. Delgado are facelifts, mommy makeovers, breast procedures, tummy tucks and gynecomastia reduction surgery. 

Beautiful results with very pleased patients have been the foundation of Dr. Delgado’s extraordinary reputation.  Dr. Delgado and his surgical team have been filmed for educational programs by BBC, Discovery Australia, Fox News as well as numerous other productions in the US.  Women and men come from all over the United States and beyond our borders to have procedures performed by Dr. Delgado.

Volunteering for mission work has been very rewarding for Dr. Delgado.  Most recently, he repaired cleft palates on Guatemalan children; the volunteers, families, community and organization involved created a very successful surgical experience for all involved.  This occurrence has motivated Dr. Delgado to seek more volunteer opportunities that will treat children born with debilitating defects.
