Dr. Michael Epstein is the founder of MAE Plastic Surgery, a plastic surgery practice in Chicago, Illinois that specializes in facial rejuvenation, nose reshaping, breast enhancement, and body contouring. However, Dr. Epstein’s passion lies with facial rejuvenation, such as facelift and rhinoplasty surgery. Recipient of the prestigious Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” award for excellence in plastic surgery and the “Top Doctor” title by US News & World Report, Dr. Epstein is greatly respected by his peers and colleagues. Highly educated and recognized for his knowledge, surgical skills, patient rapport, and passion for his work, Dr. Epstein has earned a reputation as a leader in his field.

Dr. Epstein received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He trained in general surgery at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and returned to Detroit for his plastic surgery fellowship. He received additional cosmetic surgery training at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York and has held an academic position at the University of Chicago’s Department of Plastic Surgery.

His professional affiliations include the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Rhinoplasty Society. Dr. Epstein is actively committed to giving back to his community, he has worked with organizations such as Y-Me and the Sue Duncan Children’s Foundation. He was a co-founder of Chicago’s Esteem Makeover and participated as one of the team’s cosmetic surgeons and for the past two years, he has been performing plastic reconstructive surgery in Nicaragua through the organization, “Healing the Children.”
