  • What is the difference between pain and chronic pain?
  • What are some of these pro-inflammatory substances that cause pain?
  • I've always heard that milk is good for you? Why is it a problem?
  • What are some other things that can cause chronic pain?
  • How can our listeners learn more?

Dr. Twogood began practicing in 1982 at the International Sports Medicine Institute in West Los Angeles. While there he treated many of the athletes in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. He began his private practice in Apple Valley, California in 1985. There, he met a patient who told him that he suffered with chronic back pain and headaches for 20 years. Doctors couldn't help him, but because of high cholesterol, he changed his diet. Within a few weeks he was free of his chronic pain. He later found out that milk and dairy foods caused his pain to return.

Dr. Twogood began experimenting with diet manipulation in 1985 and wrote his first book, "No Milk" in 1991. He has chronicled more of his practice experiences in three more books, "How to Rid Your Body of Pain" in 1996, "MSG is Everywhere" in 1997, and his newest book, "Chronic Pain Gone 90 Days" in 2011. He is available to talk to your group about how to get rid of chronic pain.
