She has treated over 100 food addicts, and can attest that food addiction is as serious as all other addictions. She is the author of Food Junkies: The Truth about Food Addiction, and has spoken internationally on the subject of sugar / carb addiction.
Dr. Tarman is herself in recovery from food addiction and has sustained a weight loss of 100 pounds for over 10 years, mainly by following a healthy and delicious food abstinent plan.
