Beth Tofel, President of FootprintID that helps individuals manage and maintain the health and medical records of themselves and their family members joins eHealth Radio and the Health Care and Technology Channels.
With FootprintID you have “always” access to your information.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Beth Tofel discuss the following:Was there something in particular that inspired you to found FootprintID?Who can benefit the most from having their medical records at their fingertips? How does one benefit from having always access to their medical information and that of their family or loved ones? What is the biggest challenge for people in managing their health information? How can having your records assist in proper diagnosis and treatment?
Summary: Make sure you always have access to Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, Power of Attorneys. They are often not with you when crisis strikes and some of the most important documents. They can assure that a person’s wishes are carried out, that a doctor has permission to speak with the parents of a college student, and that the proper individuals are called upon to make decisions.
Duration: 12:48
FootprintID® puts your health information at your fingertips. Store and manage all of your medical records in one secure, easy-to-use online portal – and access them 24/7 from your phone, tablet or computer. FootprintID® also lets you share vital health information with family, caregivers, physicians and emergency responders, and coordinate your medical history across providers.
Multitasking is a way of life for today’s parents. They are responsible for managing their careers and households as well as their family’s hectic schedules – not to mention their health and well being. When it comes to healthcare, parents often struggle to keep track of their children’s medications, allergies and immunizations. They worry about a college-bound daughter managing her chronic health condition, or a son having a health emergency while they’re away on business. And they make countless calls to the pediatrician’s office to request copies of their children’s vaccination records.
Growing older tends to come with growing health concerns. You may be visiting multiple doctors and pharmacies. Coping with a chronic condition. Or assuming the role of caregiver for a parent or spouse. If you’re like many seniors, keeping track of medications, test results, procedures, and contact information can be overwhelming.
Organizing paper records is challenging and you rarely carry them with you. In an emergency, instant access to your health records can literally be a lifesaver.

Revolutionizing postpartum care one mama at a time

Jill Bigelow, Founder of PELV-ICE that makes the very first complete pelvic supports with ice/heat for mamas-to-be and postpartum recovery joins eHealth Radio and the Female Health, Health Care & Health News Channels.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Jill Bigelow discuss the following: How did you get the idea for PELV-ICE and more specifically Mama Strut?Since invesnting it 4 years ago, has your journey to commercialization been a straight line or have you zigged and zagged along the way? What is your marketing strategy to reach both domestic and global markets? Where do you see the brand Mama Strut in 5 years? Do you have other products that you are working on?
Duration: 6:23
The visionary behind the Mama Strut is Jill Bigelow, a serial entrepreneur, finance professional, USC MBA (2007) and mom of three – ages 7, 4 and 1. After giving birth to her second child in 2011, she was frustrated that her hospital's solution for her pelvic discomfort was ice in a rubber glove, gauze underwear and pain medication. After scouring both the medical and maternity markets, Bigelow was surprised to discover there was no singular product that truly addressed all her physical ailments as a new mom.
Inspired by other braces for soft-tissue injuries, the idea for the Mama Strut was born. In August 2011, Bigelow applied for a patent and turned to innovation incubators, tech contests and clinical trials with multiple departments at USC, including AIM Incubator, Greif Center, Marshall, Viterbi's MEPC Innovation Incubator and the Alfred Mann Institute. Through USC's tremendous support, she was able to bring her vision to fruition and perfect her product. In 2013, her prototype was classified by the FDA and in 2014, she celebrated the launch of her company PELV-ICE™ and its first product of many, the Mama Strut™.
Bigelow resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three children and became a Mama Strut user in February 2015 after the birth of her third child.

Sunday May 08, 2016
Dr. Ronald D. Blatt, M.D an expert in the field of women's health for over 30 years & PrivateRx Founder joins eHealth Radio and the Female Health and Skin Care Channels.
Dr. Blatt is also Femnene Corporation Chairman, a board-certified gynecologist and Chief Surgeon and Medical Director of the Manhattan Center for Vaginal Surgery and the Manhattan Centers for Women's Health.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels and guest Dr. Ronald D. Blatt discuss the following: What is PrivateRx and why it is different from other products on the market? What are the advantages of using PrivateRx vs hormone replacement therapy or other Dr prescribed products and treatments? How soon can women expect to see results from PrivateRx treatments? What is the cooling and soothing package you offer on your website?Where can listeners purchase PrivateRx products?
Duration: 10:17
Ronald D. Blatt, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., has been an expert in the field of women's health for over 30 years. Board-certified gynecologist, expert surgeon and compassionate physician, Dr. Blatt's driving imperative is to treat matters of vaginal health and intimate skin care with knowledge, awareness and respect.
Dr. Blatt has built one of the world's top health care practices in New York City, where he is Chief Surgeon and Medical Director of the Manhattan Center for Vaginal Surgery and the Manhattan Centers for Women's Health. He is also Chairman of the Femnene Corporation, where he developed a revolutionary line of Intimate Skin Care products for mature women.
Located on New York's fabled East Side, the Manhattan Centers staff provides a comprehensive array of gynecological services to a diverse clientele and perform a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures, which include vaginoplasty, labiaplasty, and vaginal rejuvenation. Aware of the fact that it is sometimes difficult for women to talk about the subjects of vaginal looseness, loss of sexual satisfaction or enlarged labia.
Dr. Blatt draws on decades of experience in the ob/gyn field to put patients at ease, answer their questions in an empathetic manner, and provide the knowledgeable consultation and professional treatment women seek.
Dr. Blatt's focus is, and has always been, on the well-being of the total woman. It was this devotion that led to his creation of what he calls his Intimate Skin Care line – with medical benefits specifically formulated for a woman's most private areas: Total feminine skin care that results in greater comfort and sexual self-esteem. His first product, Vulvare, was developed and released to a specialty salon market. Response was so overwhelmingly positive that Dr. Blatt felt encouraged to expand his range of products. Along with his group of research scientists, he went back to the laboratory and created the PrivateRx brand.
Dr. Blatt graduated magna cum laude from the esteemed S.U.N.Y Albany, he then graduated from University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Blatt fulfilled his residency at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. As he was particularly sensitive to women's health issues, he decided to invest his time, energy and passion in the field of gynecology. Dedicated to educating women in personal and intimate health care, Dr. Blatt feels that the topic of vaginal health is often neglected. While surgical measures can provide successful results, there are still the everyday concerns that must be tended to. The PrivateRx intimate skin care line is designed to do just that.
