Podiatrist Dr. Pedram Hendizadeh, Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery joins eHealth Radio and the Foot Health & Health News Channels. He also has comprehensive training in lower extremity diabetic treatment. He heads Advanced Podiatry, a practice with several locations in the greater New York area.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels and guest Dr. Pedram Hendizadeh discuss the following:
Why is it so important to take care of our feet even if we feel no pain?
What are some signs we should be aware of that indicate you have a foot issue?
Are you seeing any changes in foot health during the pandemic?
Are there any symptoms of the foot that can be an indication of a “larger” illness?
What can we do to maintain good healthy feet?
Concluding Tip: Do not ignore your health during the pandemic believing it would be more dangerous to venture out to see a doctor. Medical offices are fully prepared to treat patients in a safe way so if you notice anything out of the ordinary like swelling of the feet -- particularly if you have been rather sedentary -- this can be a sign of gout, edema or some other condition that requires attention.
Dr. Pedram Hendizadeh is the Founder and CEO of Advanced Podiatry (LIFootCare.com), one of the premier foot care groups in the US with four locations and 13 doctors, growing 35% annually. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery as well as the American Aesthetic Institute. He was rated a top podiatrist in the world by RateMDS.com for four years in a row.
Dr. Hendizadeh graduated as an Honors Scholar from the University of Connecticut and attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Kern Hospital and Medical Center in Michigan and is currently on the staff at Northwell Health Systems, St. Francis Hospital (Catholic Health System) Huntington Hospital and North Queens Surgery Center.
