Dr. Russell Hendrick, Jr. and Dr. Parker Velargo are the co-owners and co-founders of The New Orleans Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery. While Dr. Hendrick focuses on hand and general plastic & reconstructive surgery, Dr. Velargo focuses on plastic and reconstructive surgery within the head and neck.
Dr. Hendrick and Dr. Velargo are New Orleans natives. After attending high school , undergrad and Medical School together at LSU in New Orleans, both Dr. Hendrick and Dr. Velargo perfected their specialty skills out of state. Later, they decided to bring their talents back to New Orleans and serve patients of ‘The Crescent City’.
Dr. Hendrick and Dr. Velargo are on staff surgeons at Ochsner Baptist hospital, as well as Touro Infirmary. They also hold operative privileges at several outpatient surgical centers throughout the city. Many minor procedures (not requiring IV or general anesthesia) can be performed in their state of the art procedure room within the clinic. Additionally, Dr. Velargo is a staff physician at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.

Dr. Annie Chiu is a board certified Dermatologist, living in Manhattan Beach who received her Medical Degree from Stanford University. She obtained her Bachelors of Science from UC Berkeley, where she graduated with top honors and was a University Medal finalist. She completed her Dermatology residency at Emory University. Prior to opening her private practice in Redondo Beach, California, Dr. Chiu practiced at Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and was also Director of Dermatology at the Murad Inclusive Health Medical Group. She is currently on the Dermatology staff of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Chiu has participated in numerous studies on Botox, photoaging, acne, and eczema. She is the author of numerous publications, E-Books, book chapters, and review articles. Dr. Chiu currently acts as a consultant for various skincare companies including Vichy, SkinMedica, and Skinstore.com. She gives lectures and teaches advanced cosmetic procedures and techniques throughout the country. Dr. Chiu is also actively involved in the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society, holding numerous positions on committees, including Chair of the Young Physicians Task Force. Dennis Goodman, MD, FACP, FACC, FCCP
Dennis Goodman, M.D. is one of the nation’s premier cardiologists, consistently named one of “America’s Top Physicians” and “Top Cardiologists” by Castle Connolly (an industry firm that rates doctors). The New York Times and New York Magazine have also named him one of New York’s top doctors.
Dr. Goodman is the Director of Integrative Medicine at NYU, where he also serves as Clinical Associate Professor and Cardiologist in the Leon H. Charney Division of Cardiology and Preventative Medicine. His area of special interest is prevention, early detection, and treatment of cardiovascular disease with an integrative approach for optimal patient health care.
Dr. Goodman has presented at hundreds of cardiac symposiums and authored numerous articles on heart function and health in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Heart Journal and the American Journal of Cardiology.
Born in South Africa, Dr. Goodman graduated Cum Laude from the University of Cape Town Medical School in 1979. He interned at Grootte Schuur Hospital in Cape Town (where the first heart transplant was performed in 1969). He moved to the U.S. and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh as Chief Medical Resident. He did his cardiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine (associated with Dr. Michael DeBakey) in Houston, Texas. He is now Board Certified in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, critical care, clinical lipidology, holistic/integrative medicine and Cardiac CT imaging.
In 1988, Dr. Goodman joined Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, California, where he became Chief of Cardiology and Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. He also served at the renowned Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine in La Jolla. From 1989 to 2009 he served as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of San Diego. From 2009 to 2010, he was Director of the Chest Pain Unit for Bellevue Hospital at NYU.

His father is a successful physician in New Jersey that founded a successful health spa and diet center. Dr. Pozner graduated with a Distinction in Research from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and is a board certified plastic surgeon. Richard L. Burns is a retired television and advertising executive (a real-life "Mad Man"), who put the smile on the PSA Airplanes and helped engineer a cultural icon- the Fruit of the Loom models. He is an authority on retail, accountable and measurable advertising, and developed the first viable system of local television advertising and sales for national advertisers. Burns was a management consultant, promulgated fund-raising for non-profits and conceived and produced a successful international educational children's TV series called "With It."
At 38, Richard was struck down with a cerebral hemorrhage and declared dead at 38 years old. Richard miraculously regained consciousness and was given a second chance at life. He became a spokesperson for stroke awareness and recovery and wrote and published his memoir, "Live Or Die: A Stroke of Good Luck", which he calls "a handbook of hope." The book is a wise and witty story of his long and slow recovery and resurrection in his own words. It chronicles life after stroke and offers readers advice on how to come out victorious, after suffering a major illness. It is also about what he learned from the ordeal and how his life and values changed with each step he took to heal himself.
Richard is responsible for the rescue of animals in national disasters. He is the recipient of numerous professional and service awards, and is a graduate of Stanford University.
