Dr. Anuj Tolia, a radiologist at Montclair Radiology, with 5 imaging facilities in New Jersey joins eHealth Radio and the Health News and Heart Health Channels to discuss the launching of a new model that is ground breaking. February is National Heart Month, and what better way to celebrate and safeguard our hearts than to offer free screening for first responders including police, fire and EMTs - which is exactly what Dr. Tolia and Montcliar Radiology is doing with "Docs and Cops".

Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guest Dr. Anuj Tolia discuss the following:

  1. Can you describe in your own words how the Calcium Scoring works?
  2. Should people with a family history of heart attacks, stroke and other conditions consider doing this scan?
  3. Research shows stress is a killer - so does it make sense to recommend this to people who are in high stress careers, such as EMT staff, ER staff, Police, fire fighters, etc?
  4. What about radiation - is this high or low - and what does that mean?
  5. Do you need a prescription?
  6. Cost is inexpensive, correct? I heard it was around $99.

Dr. Anuj J. Tolia received his BS at The Wharton School of Business and his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York University School of Medicine where he was elected to the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, Dr. Tolia completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at New York University.
